The hunger & fatigue that follows a 12 hour shift usually means one thing, find a quick &
  1. Wash & rinse apples & dry them. 

  2. Slice apples and remove seeds then give a squeeze of lemon to stop browning. Lay to rest on paper towels & pat dry. 

  3. Microwave chocolate chips in a bowl in 25-30 second intervals. Stir well at intervals until all chips have melted. 

  4. Pierce apple slices with a knife then insert a wooden stick. Dip apple slices in melted chocolate, one at a time until completely covered, then rest on a pan lined with parchment paper.

  5. Add toppings; pecans, caramel, dried cranberries, white chocolate, & place into refrigerator/freezer until chocolate becomes solid. 

  6. For the white chocolate, melt in 30-second intervals, stirring at each time.

  • 4 apples, sliced approximately ½ " thick (granny smiths)

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

  • Toppings;  dried cranberries, chopped pecans, homemade caramel, white chocolate
